Meet Meggan.
Born in Atlanta and later down the road, ended up in the sweet explosion town of Waterloo, Texas. (a.k.a Austin)
She has been highly influenced by renowned artists throughout her life and is extremely passionate toward classic, old fashioned songwriting.
These days, she is a lover of all different genres, and you can hear that diversity revealed in every one of her songs.
She listens to a wide variety of electronica, rock, jazz, r&b, folk, classical, blues, and indie. Her sound is constantly changing, going in different directions, because let's face it, an artist may use many different colors blending together in an oil painting. That's what makes it beautiful, magnificent, dynamic, and original.
Her current influences are Cat Power, Portishead, Patty Griffin, and Tom Waits.
People have compared her sound and style to the bittersweet lyrics of Patty Griffin, the bluesy methods of Bonnie Rait, the charming tone ranges of Joni Mitchell, the disturbing howl of Neal Young, and even a loose-hinged Bob Dylan-esque appeal.
Her poisonous melodies will penetrate and intoxicate. Just leave it up to Meggan to surprise you with a myriad of sound, depth, rhythm, and love. Her art astounds the masses, and enters the hearts of the emotionally in-tune listeners.

Hello, thanks for the reply. No, I'm not a musician...but I do play an acoustic guitar, but just in the confines of my own room and out on the patio lol. And yes, I love poetry...it's my release from this crazy crazy world ...and I do believe I'll keep it up :) Do you play gigs around austin? I really can't get enough of "cliche"...I LOVE it...very very very good work :)
