"In a Station of the Metro" is a great poem. It's short, just 2 lines, but is so evocative. I wish I could say in 2 pages what Pound can say in 2 lines. To be able to verbalize something so complicated with so few words is nothing short of amazing. Reading this poem also made me realize how much I miss writing music, and how much I need some good musicians to help me out (hint...hint...)
Here's Pound's poem, for your enjoyment:
The apparition of these faces in the crowd;
Petals on a wet, black bough.
