I'm Mark Delamere. I'm a designer currently living in victoria, BC. I will soon be a father and will have an heir to take over my kingdom at Cedar Hill X rd and Richmond rd.
I will be quitting smoking in the next coming weeks to create a less poisonous environment for the little king. If anybody has any advice or experiences that don't involve wanting to claw your loved ones/coworkers eye balls out I'd love to hear about them.
Day 15: I been so busy quitting I didn't have time for living. Mar 30
Oh Geez! Thanks for the reminder Tim. Been pretty quiet here on the virb front but I have good news about my adventure..I have not smoked in 15 days. I'm not sure what this means physiologically t but here are the facts:
- I've pretty much gotten past daily cravings, except when stress or annoyance rises up, but even then it passes in a minute.
- I haven't really gone out and done anything social in this time...this will be my next hurdle as I need to rejoin the human race at some point
- My lungs feel great...I can take huge breaths and not get the 85 yr old wheezing, and I do have more energy.
- when hiking or skating Imy legs now get tired before my lungs give out. This is huge for me as it now opens up a host of possibilities as far as torturing myself in new ways.
I know I'm not out of the woods yet, but honestly this was easier then I thought it'd be.; As long as you go in expecting to have the worst 2 weeks of your life, you'll be okay. And so begins the next stage..the long endless grind of being a reformed smoker.
