Moses Mayfield frontman Matthew Mayfield has been inside. Signed by Epic Records in 2005, Mayfield has seen how the music business often trades industry commerce over real craft. When Columbia Records took
over in 2006, even the release of their much anticipated full-length album, aptly named, "The Inside" couldn't stop them from becoming a business casualty of the label. Now, after six years of national
touring and heavy lessons-learned, Matthew offers his most honest, dedicated songs yet in solo performance. "My heart is in it," the songwriter says. "there are no more fingers to point. If something's wrong, there's only once place to look." Matthew Mayfield is finally outside again: you can hear it in his voice.
