The project MASHROOMS was born in 2000, in Syracuse, Sicily. After three demo tapes they released their full length debut "Welcome to Spackentown" in December 2003. In the following year, the band moved to Florence and toured extensively through Italy. In 2005, their second release "The-ginko" appeared, with artistic production of John Congleton (Paper Chase). MASHROOMS sprinkle sounds of violin, cello and keyboard into an otherwise classical set-up. They perform a mix of post-rock, noise, post-punk and space-rock. Expect music between honesty and complexity, sending waves of brain-food right at your head, best to be consumed
via osmosis.

"We all admire the spangled acrobat with classical grace meticulously walking his tight rope in the talcum light; but how much rarer art there is in the sagging rope expert wearing scarecrow clothes and impersonating a grotesque drunk! I should know." Thank you for your friendship! Musical greetings from Munich/Germany!
