Un giorno di primavera ci siamo incontrati e abbiamo detto: "ok ragazzi, perchè non facciamo un gruppo?" Così sono nati i Maladives. Durante gli anni, alla fine delle prove ci dicevamo sempre: "ok ragazzi, ci vediamo lunedì... o mercoledì... o sabato..." Insomma, non avevamo mai lasciato la saletta senza aver trovato un accordo sulla data delle prove successive. Poi... un giorno di qualche anno dopo, ci siamo detti: "ok ragazzi... ci sentiamo... " Ma nessuno ha chiesto "quando" e nessuno ha dovuto rispondere. E così da quel giorno non ci siamo più trovati.
Che sia questo il modo migliore per dirsi addio?

Maladives have been, in my opinion, one of the most exciting bands coming from the venetian lagoon. Two poderous guitars, each one of them as different from the other as possible, but in total symbiosis one with the other. A diligent rhythm section,sometimes powerful sometimes delicate, but always able to accompaign the "guitar whirls" in the best way possible. And a great frontman (well, he is not a singer in the proper sense of the word, I think...), with a rough voice, that told us everything about the dark side of life, death and love; a man who is high and low, old and young, little and big, being all of that at the same time. well, this is what Maladives were: a great band that influenced almost all of the local young musicians (and me too), who still ask theirselves how much ill music business must be, since they have published only a self-produced (and not well known) record.
