So, it's been a while since I've blogged, but I figure now is as good a time as any to get back on the horse. I've been in Vero Beach, Florida since the morning of December 31st, staying with my Aunt Pat, Uncle Al, cousin Joel, and their dog, Hogan. The whole ordeal of ending up here is an entry in itself, but for the sake of brevity, I'm here. The main objective whilst here was to attend the Capital One Bowl, a college football game between unranked University of Michigan and the twelfth ranked University of Florida. The members of my family are die hard Michigan fans, these ones just happened to relocate to Florida. We found ourselves floating amongst a sea of Florida fans, shouting, "Gator bait!" and "Go Tebow!" I've never heard anyone mention a single player more in my life. In Florida, Tim Tebow is Jesus. Despite his holiness taking the field, Michigan managed to win one of the most exciting games I've ever seen. We definitely pissed off a few Florida fans with our never-ending renditions of Hail to the Victors and loud hand claps. It was my first college football game and it was simply amazing. The atmosphere was awesome and being able to see the tiny percentage of Michigan fans in the stands go nuts was even more awesome. It was a great send off for Lloyd Carr and the seniors and I am excited but worried about next season. I'll post some pictures once I get the cord to my camera.
