pursuing the love of Jesus Christ through the arts.
i have decided. Jun 6
i have decided to take on virb as my project for the summer.
but not obssesively.
i think virb is better than myspace, facebook, tagworld, blogger, livejournal, and any other possible social web engine.
so here i go.
-more friends.
-more designing.
-more "about me"
-mor...
the little rascals, volver, brick, Garden State, crash, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, motorcycle diaries, the science of sleep, stranger than fiction, little miss sunshine, dandelion, imaginary heroes, babel, matchstick men, blood diamond, you me and everyone we know, edward scissor hands, la mala educaccion, girl interrupted, hard candy, finding neverland, the secret garden, blow, mean creek, paris j'taime
stars, the shins, broken social scene, the album leaf, catpower, hot chip, architecture in helsinki, death cab for cutie, portugal the man, the honorary title, her space holiday, eisley, rufus wainwright, im from barcelona, milosh, regina spektor, you know good music. and music i can dance to.
jumping rope, aa, the park, flying kites, scootering, and sleeping
Hi Yanira. We like The Shins too (they were on our February cover this year). Thanks so much for being our friend, and we hope you enjoy our 5th Anniversary issue which hits shelves next week! -Your friends at PASTE

haha! well it'd be a bus instead of an airplane. they're a little slower. and can't fly, so you'd have a lot longer ride to wherever you're going, ahahaha. and seriously, you can learn so much about design from just looking at what other people have made. there's a ton to read online too. the hardest thing is saving up a couple hundred bucks for photoshop

yeah, i don't really consider it a job though, it's a lot of fun. pretty sure i'm going to be on the road most of this summer, so we'll see how things go. and design stuff is really fun, you should give it a shot

ahaha, yeah, i'm doing a lot of design stuff right now to get some cash in, but that's hit or miss. you could go a month or two without getting any work in, and that sucks. i can't really hold a steady job at a coffee joint or something right now though because a lot of things are up in the air that would require traveling and me being away from home for a month or two at a time. kind of a tough position to be in

haha yeah, you just have to make sure your park close to where you're going if you're planning on being anywhere specific at a certain time. minimizes the chance of running into a ton of people. and i actually dont have my own camera. when i do take pictures it's either with my friend's minolta or this really horrible point and shoot. i'm going to start saving up for a half decent on here soon. and you're spot on with the color that film captures. the only thing thats keeping me from doing that is how much it costs to develop film

haha, seriously. it's a pain walking around downtown because you always run into people you know and end up walking slower than a snail. and thanks for the comment on the photos. i really need to save up for a half decent camera. so many temptations though to spend money on some gear i've been wanting for a while. it's hard to weigh what you want more.
