First field test of my homebrew joystick-controled sequencer running on my laptop.
Sequencer code is all in ChucK which is controlling the Nord Modular for bass and lead sounds over MIDI. The joystick I use is a Saulabi arcade stick through a PS2 to USB converter, I also use a Konami Beatmania (PS1, European version) controler. All songs start from scratch; A set of beats and two melodic sounds and completely empty patterns. No graphical feedback or interface is used at all.
It's quite dark and musically it's quite rough but as a first field-test it was quite satisfactory. Low tables suck.
