What can I say? I am a man who is the very definition of how God gives us exactly what we don't deserve. I am currently a Pastor at Resurrection Life Church, I am married to the most beautiful women on earth who has given birth to my incredible daughters Ava and Adalyn. I work with some of the most amazing and inspiring people and I literally have to pinch myself sometimes when i think about where God has taken me.
I grew up living for myself and rebelling against God. I thought the party lifestyle would last forever, but at the age of 24 Jesus Christ rescued my from myself. I have the opportunity now to take my life experiences and try to connect young people with their creator without having to go down the path I did. I want nothing more than to be a vessel of honor, sanctified and useful for the master, prepared for every good work.(2.timothy2:22).
Music
Love music.....think it is very powerful spiritually and emotionally. I think hillsong united has to be at my top. they have put out like 8 cd in 5 years and they are all amazing!!! I think if you listen to heavy metal and death music, you shouldn't be surprised if you get depressed. Listen to rap, don't be surprised if you find your image of women changing and your language becoming vulgar. Listen to Jason Upton, don't be surprised when the fire falls and the glory comes down:) you decide
Movies
I don't watch many movies, especially at the theatre. I usually find the story line to be uninteresting, and the content always seems subpar for the 8 dollar asking price. I am somewhat disturbed by the success of movies like saw and saw 2. I can handle violence, but something about watching people tortured by madmen is beyond my threshold for entertainment. what ever happened to a few good men, or jurassic park the original?
Television
big sports fan, forced to watch many makeover shows (look for less, 10 years younger, what not to wear etc.....you feel my pain husbands? recently have been mesmorized by man vs wild. if you haven't seen it, check it out.
Books
I heard a statistic that 80% of men never read another book after high school!!! Hopefully that is a bit high, but it doesn't bode well for us guys. i love to read and memorize the bible, it not only builds my faith, but it is the only book that you don't read, it reads you. (hebrews 4:12) i also enjoy books on leadership and personal growth.
