Over the past few years I've become mildly obsessed with politics.

Being a bit of a contrarian, I don't really identify with any party. But I've been both a Rush Limbaugh dittohead and a Michael Moore screamin' libbie at past times in my life, and I think I'm settling somewhere in between.

Or to put it another way: if one sees politics as a continuum between ideological-and-pragmatic instead of left-and-right, I've zoomed to the opposite side of the Limbaugh-Moore types. To the point where I pretty much ignore the politicians and just learn and discuss issues and policies.

And I love Texas Longhorn football. Couldn't say why.
