To the ends of the earth...
My passion is traveling to far off lands and experiencing new cultures... I've been to 20 countries outside the U.S. since 2001. When I'm not gallivanting across some foreign country, I play indoor soccer on 2 teams, bike, swim, and go for long walks... I love to cook and experiment with food...beg my plants not to die...prefer DVDs over TV cause I can't stand commercials...finish a book every few days...amateur photographer on my trips...love going to live sporting events, especially NHL (go Stars!)...love driving my 6-speed like a sports car should be driven... listen to indie rock and old school hits cause most songs on the radio are overplayed... love to drink Champagne "just because"... and I try to live every day to its fullest!

Cardboard Sombrero Aug 16
On the way to lunch, I saw a construction worker with a homemade sombrero on. It was glorious! He took his hard hat, cut out a round piece of cardboard to fit around it as the brim, and duct taped it on. I tried to get a pic with my cell phone, so it's difficult to see.

On the road again... May 14
May 14-18 is the official ride your bike to work week. So I got back on the bike today and rode to work this morning. It felt good. It's getting hot here in Texas, but I'm so happy when I get my workout done by the time I get home from work! This past week I was nursing my sprained ankle and the weather was not cooperative, but I'm going to try to not let that bother me. I bought a lace-up brace for the ankle and managed to play soccer on Sat without pain. I even scored a goal!
