Hey Three Eyes entered the San Francisco music scene much like Adam's West's Batman entered a den of conspiring villains: Heavy. Spazzy. Dancy. Catchy. Brutal. Poppy. Hardcore.
Guitarists Scott and Feliks first met working in the Hampshire College Dining Commons. At the time, Scott Drapeau was in a prog-metal band, Failed Silence, and Feliks Garcia was dutifully developing his chops for classical guitar. Bonding over dirty pots, pans, and dinner trays, the two formed Zombie Morita, a progressive shred-metal duo executed on the seemingly mild-mannered nylon string guitar.
Moving to San Francisco provoked the two to return to their electric roots. Fusing prog-metal guitar styles with pop sensibilities was a key insight for them, but discovering vocalist Zoe Lowe brought the project to a new level with the addition of catchy hooks and her cleverly crafted lyrics. Finally, the drum styling's of Zach Bookstein Partridge, a combo of punk, jazz, dance, and funk to name a few, brought the sound of Hey Three Eyes to fruition.
