I was born on an island in a hospital that was torn down and ferried to this city as a young boy. I remember the horn sounds from the worn down ship that slipped me silently into stasis. A childish state of grace, a shapeless place where people's faces were erased. So I played my days away in the streams and rivers, in the forests and the hills, beyond the reach of parents and babysitters. I never considered in those days of running around, up to no good, that nothing ever changes and I'd remain the hermit of the woods. Some say "Well, what if you could go back and take some kind of different path?" Don't make me laugh, I've done the math. It won't happen so I'll pass on the question and accept the direction that my childhood provided, even though it's marred by violence and irrepressible crushing shyness. F's in Science, stress, defiance, and alliances with enemies where I pretend to be the giant I foresaw in my dreams of destiny. The rest of me most definitely gets tied to composition, because technically I'm repetitiously transmitting repetitive algorhythms. These vicious vital written pieces that preach to my own vanity when I reach the edge of sanity, when I speak til they abandon me, when I'm a freak to friends and family and gambling blindfolded at the table. When nothings left I'll pay my debts for as long as I am able. I'm not there yet and betting wisely in spite of all the darkness, as the moment of catharsis comes when you're fighting back the hardest.
