I love my chucks.
they've traveled the world with me, and haven't given up on me yet : ]
I broke them in on foreign ground.
walking in the dirty streets of China, to the peek of Mt. Victoria.
then off to D.C., what a monumental love!
we also painted PS 158 together during our trip to NYC.
and walk the sad streets of Texas all the time ( :

The world is taking over Converse, and it's really scary and sad (walking by people and being like "What is THAT girl doing in Chucks?!"). I liked it better when it actually meant something.... buut... every other shoe makes my feet feel lumpy, and so I go on slowly separating the canvas from the soles, and they go on falling apart and being trusty. I like guys with green and red ones.

I once painted the bottoms of my Chucks and walked/stomped/danced all over this big canvas.

I go through almost a pair a year but I usually keep them through the various stages of decay. That way I have a "nice" pair, a "go out and play" pair, a "work" pair and a "I have to step in what?!!?" pair. It's efficient and it gets me the most use out of every pair of Chucks that I own.

I love the "worn in" look...
it adds character I feel.
I have been know to continue wearing my beloved Chucks far past the normal sate of disrepair
until the sole is barely connected to the rest of the shoe
Bad.
I know.
But I love them dearly so...

New ones- grey tweed. Broke them in dancing at Kingdom Bound Festival; to the Newsboys. It was really dusty, they looked really brown for a week afterwards.
