Gurren Lagann, Gundum 00, and Moyashimon are all new series that I have recently been watching and would suggest them to you all to check out.
Gurren has been around for awhile but if you have not seen it and like comedy/mecha/just sometimes weird animes this is a series for you.
I am normally not much of a Gundum fan, but 00 has held my interest so far and I like the independence the Gundum pilots seem to have in this one as compared to previous series.
Moyashimon is more of a slice of life style anime, but with a twist where the main character can see bacteria with the naked eye and can communicate with them as well. The introduction got stuck in my head for two days so watch out :p.

hmm. I've been watching ergo proxy. I haven't had a chance to finish it though. Mine are between Code Geass and Gankutsuou.. I think Code Geass wins though. Gankutsuou is very colse.

Code Geass is not in any other counry other than Japan.. but watch it on the internet or something cuz it is good. The beginning is kinda slow but it gets better. Gankutsuou is a gorgeous looking anime which is a sci-fi retelling of the book "The Count of Monte Cristo" and is fantastic. I've seen the DVD in stores so I know that it's at least in America. I've seen Cowboy Bebop, but there are others that could hold my interest better. I STILL NEED TO FINISH ERGO PROXY!

Well, I'm happy cuz the second season of Code Geass comes out in April. YAY! Unh, I'm having problems finding more REALLY great anime. Could someone post a list of really good series?
