I almost worked at a QT when I lived in Oklahoma but wound up moving back to New England. We don't have them up here.

QuikTrip sells only Certified Quality fountain drinks. Every store offers a wide variety of fountain products that meet or exceed the standards set by beverage companies. That's not an easy accomplishment. It takes a combination of state of the art equipment and conscientious store and maintenance employees to uphold those standards.
The Fountain Mixers
Invent something. Customize your fountain drink with Cherry or Vanilla Fountain Mixers, available at QuikTrip. These flavors are available right from the fountain head at all QuikTrip stores. These mixers aren't merely a syrup additive- they are carbonated and chilled, so there is no dilution to your fountain drink. You can choose just how much you want, and even mix with other products. Invent your own special fountain drink with your secret ingredients.
The Water
Every ounce of water that goes into the fountain drink mixture is filtered to remove any impurities. Almost 95% of all municipal water supplies add chlorine and other chemicals to the water supply, which can break down the flavoring and make the beverage taste like it has been strained through Uncle Louie's socks. The city water in each of the municipalities in which QuikTrip operates is thoroughly analyzed, and the proper type of filter is installed to ensure water purity. Filters are then changed on a regularly scheduled basis.
The Syrup
Syrup is purchased directly from the various beverage companies. Syrup comes in a "bag in a box", containing from 2 1/2 to 5 gallons of product. The bags of syrup are kept in a box, because it's pretty hard to stack bags of syrup. Every flavor has a back-up bag, so if the product runs out in the first bag, the second bag automatically kicks in. The bags are checked and empty bags replaced during each shift change. That ensures you'll always get the product you want. And, the bags are rotated to ensure there is always fresh product.
The Carbonation
Most fountain drinks would be pretty boring without the tiny bubbles of carbonation. We don't want to leave you flat, so the carbonation is set at the recommended level, and backup tanks with an automatic switchover valve are always in place so we never run out of fizz.
The Brix
The brix is the ratio of syrup to water. It is named after Leonard Brix who invented the straw. All flavors are maintained at a ratio of 5 parts of water to one part of syrup. That is the proportion recommended by all beverage manufacturers. The brix is checked on a regular basis to ensure our fountain drinks taste great and never like the drinks you get at the drive through window of a fast food restaurant.
The Ice
The ice is, well, really cold. But more importantly, it is filtered just like the water that goes into the product. And, at most of our stores, you can choose either cubed or crushed ice.
The Temperature
The temperature of every fountain product is set at 34 degrees. That means the ice doesn't melt as quickly and the drink maintains its original quality longer. So, whether you take your fountain drink straight up or on the rocks, it will be a chilling experience.
The People
Everyone knows about the great customer service you get at QuikTrip. But these employees are also very attentive to the fountain drink equipment and products. They are constantly cleaning the fountain area and checking to make sure the product quality and supply is maintained. If something does happen to break down, QuikTrip technicians are called to the store immediately to fix the equipment. Quality Assurance teams visit every store once a week to thoroughly clean and maintain the drink equipment. Fountain drinks are a very high priority for QuikTrip.
The Variety
QuikTrip stores offer from 24 different fountain products. All the major brands are offered, as well as Gatorade and flavored tea. Diet Rite and Diet Rite Tangerine made with Splenda are on tap, along with Quizzle Root Beer with zero carbs and calories. There's even the popular Rooster Booster and Rooster Booster Lite energy drinks available. With four sizes of cups, you can quench any sized thirst. You can get regular straws or the longer straws for the bigger drinks.
