A few (prototype) samples from a series of my "polaroids in a box" that I'm putting together with plans to sell. Each polaroid will come packaged in a WIDE variety of different material depending entirely on the polaroid and the overal asthetic.
Each box comes tied with twine so the polaroid inside will remain a surprise! Included with the polaroid will be a small info card and a few words pertaining to the polaroids subject matter.
People these days seem to only want to sell PRINTS of their work but... why only sell prints when it is so much more enjoyable to hold the actual polaroid in your hands and know that it's the only one like it. I've got an addiction with the tangible.
For more images, check out my photos. I didn't want to flood the group.
And if you have any suggestions for packaging filler, feel free to comment!!

I've finally received my SX-70 in the mail this Monday and I'm have a couple hiccups.
*Do I need an ND filter to go over the light sensor as well?
*I was only able to find ND filters that were 48mm and 55mm. Are there either; lenses that'll fit on the lens of the SX-70 exactly, or is there a sort of laminate material that could be purchased and fixed to the lens?
*If you have an SX-70 what sorts of film do you usually use? 600 seems to be the easiest to find but I also found 779, I think, from B&H for $15 for a twin-pack.
I'm not quite sure if I've covered anything so if there's something I might have missed that you think I should know it'd be a pleasure for you to tell me before I run into a problem and come running back here.

How to modify an SX-70...
http://www.foundphotography.com/PhotoThoughts/archives/2006/06/polaroid_sx70_modification_for.html
The size of the ND filter you'll need is 28 mm. They do exist; you just have to do some searching. You can also buy some plastic window tint (in the automotive section of stores) and use it to cover the 600/779 film cartridge. (You may get some interesting results that way. ;))
I have an SX-70 OneStep (similar to a 1000). I've used 600 film in that. However, 779 is much cheaper. You're right about B&H. You can also order it from Adorama.com and, of course, there's always eBay.

I like the fact that these polaroids probably wouldn't work on their own or without that background... but putting them together as you did here, it gives them a strange mulitplicity... as though you were shooting film and dropped them in the parking garage (or whatever structure you're in). Probably a bit TOO much 'conceptual mumbo jumbo' but I like 'em regardless.
