One of my favorite places to be is the Sugar Hill Reservoir.(The "Group Photograph" depicts the Dam)~ It's a lovely lake, nestled in the Green Mountains in the town of Goshen Vt..
More commonly called "Goshen Dam" by it's natives, the reservoir is uncommonly private for such a beautiful place to spend the day.
On almost any given day, you'll make the bumpy trek up the dirt road, arriving to find that you have the place all to yourself!
The lake is very clean~ a pair of loons have nested there for years!~ and is surrounded by forest, inhabited by Moose, Deer, Wild Turkeys...
Fishing here turns up beautiful trout, perch, bass...
I love that Vermont has so many lovely, private places such as this. Most folks carefully guard their stash of private paradise'...though often the poor upkeep of the narrow winding roads are enough to protect these treasured spots!
