World Class Singers

It's Not the Song it's the Singer.

From the beginning of time the Singer has been touted as being able to change the very foundations of the Earth. King David was able to calm the heart of Saul, Michael the Archangel announced the coming of the Saviour and Frank Sinatra packed them in night after night in Las Vegas and around the world....The Singer has never been fully appreciated in these modern days of download and computer driven music....in fact, auto-tuning and multiple vocal stacks hide The Imposter's from being recognized in the studio.....only in a truly LIVE environment can we get a glimpse at the Gift. Let's come together as one and celebrate the gift of Voice and how it continues to change things.

Forget everything you thought you knew. Jeremy Enigk is the greatest singer of all time. I just heard World Waits, and happened upon that startling realization.

i just finished singing TROUBLE OF THE WORLD in the studio and i have to say it was quite a treat.......on another note, if any of you are Bryan Ferry fans, or Bob Dylan fans, check out Bryan Ferry's rendering of a collection of Dylan tunes.....DYLANESQUE......wonderful stuff...out now on DVD as well....the emotion in his voice is astounding......he gets better with age....singing WHEN HE RETURNS on THE IMPOSTER was a thrill...but hard work because of the density of Bob's words........Ferry did a great job with those as well.

There is an Aussie singer named Missy Higgins. I don't know how popular she is in the States, but she sings with an unmistakable Australian accent (which obviously isn't normal). It took me a while to get around that, however now I absolutely admire her vocal talent.

a thievery conspiracy says:

it would be a travesty not to delve into the world of original jazz.
Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Sarah Vaughn and then the modern jazz vocalists like Diana Krall.

Low light,
a smoky voice
rising above a smokey atmosphere.
Writing music as you go.
