john calvin stressed the soveiegnty or rule of God in salvation and in all of life. While most people think it is the 5 points of calvinism they were not written by him but are only a response to the points of jacob arminius. calvin's most famous work is the institute of christian religion. you can read it herehttp://www.ccel.org/ccel/calvin/institutes.html
