I seem to remember seeing some kind of extension manager for firefox - something that would allow you to easily get all your extensions set up when moving to a new install. Does this sound familiar? I can't find it through google...

As far as #1 I'd go with firebug as well ... but Go up is one that makes me feel handicapped in its absence.
Also - I *don't* recommend that FEBE extension I mentioned below. It wasn't easy to use, and once I got my stuff restored firefox kept crashing until I removed all my extensions, and re-added them one by one.
