Maybe the current image (it's the default, I know, I know :P) with 'RULES!!!1eleventyone' or something scribbled on it?

cool, i noticed that VIRB is no longer beta, and that people who aren't registered on virb can also view my profile, i love VIRB! That Tim guy or whoever wrote myspace should take lessons from VIRB.

Benz says:

hahahahhaha wait isn't it just in public beta? they have a sign up limit.

Kimberley Grey says:

Y'know, I think one of the best things about VIRB is that music in people's profiles doesn't start playing when you load the page. ARE YOU PAYING ATTENTION, MYSPACE? *shakes fist*

Benz says:

yes, no one wants to hear crappy music:)

Kimberley Grey says:

Exactly, especially when I am listening to my own awesome music. I don't want to hear some whiny crap competing with my favourite artists. Raaargh!

Marco says:

You do know that asking any viewer to 'add you' is extremely MySpace-esque, right?

Jon-Kyle says:

yes, that would be true if my profile on myspace was public. it's private though, so only my close friends can see it. thanks.

Ruslan says:

I would get rid of that if I were you, it will attract the myspace idiots

Benz says:

people who use myspace are probably too dumb to operate virb. Where did you get those awesome banners.

Marco says:

Hmmmm well maybe I'm a retard but I just can't get used to using MySpace really. I've never seen an UI as atrocious as the one MySpace has. I keep going like "Where the hell do I change this or that in my profile?". Everything seems scattered around. I guess Virb vs MySpace is like the elegance of a Mac vs. the clumsy interface of Windows.

Benz says:

great comparison, do you guys know the program bootcamp, it lets mac user's download vista or xp so you can use both operating systems:)

posted Mar 17

Marco says:

I use parallels. It's even better than bootcamp because it lets you run Windows within OS X, nicely in it's own little sandbox window. Right where software with a gazillion of security hazards belongs.

myspace, xanga, friendster are the worse places ever. I'm so glad virb came around and did things right, the "remove custimazation" button alone makes virb the best! and the people that myspace attracts... damn teeny boppers :P

I hope people will give virb a chance and see how much better it is. How long has it been in beta phase anyways. Hope to see it go final soon. I really would like to transfer my friends over here to the "bright" side.

question, how come people outside of virb cannot view my profile? Does it require they sign up to do this? I hope this is fixed because none of my friends can view my profile.

Benz says:

well, it's kind of cool that virb is a small community for now, because we're super cool and SMART. but yeah it would be cool if my friends used virb, if they are smart enought to use it, some of my friends need help customizing their myspace hahahha. yeah this isn't a place for dating which is cool.

i hate myspcae, vrib is so much better!!!

Marco says:

I don't really think VIRB will 'crush myspace' because there's just too many retards out there who don't give a damn and will put up with whatever crap MySpace presents them with.

I however DO think VIRB could gain a substantial market share and be filled with several millions of people who actually have something to say. That would IMHO make it even better than when it would have all MySpace's moron members on it.

miguel camilo says:

unfortunately i think VIRB is quickly becoming the same narcissistic, emo-tripping, self-picture taking, psuedo artsy site that Myspace is. I mean, look around. SUCK IT UP "emo" KID!

M-theory says:

Fuck all of the stupid advertisements and cookies. The only good advertisement would be for the movie 300, and then I'm almost tired of seeing that advertisement. Actually I don't know if I could be tired of anything from Frank Miller.
