As you can see I keep my desktop mostly empty. I even keep the dock hidden.

in the middle is quick silver. over on the right is adium. i have it so it slides in and out if i put my curser over the right hand side. it's really handy except for when you're working in photoshop. i always find myself trying to go to a pallete or something and sliding too far over. the solution? don't use adium when i'm in photoshop, haha.
oh, and i hate how almost all of the icons on my dock are blue. gets old real fast.

haha, thanks. i actually just changed the wallpaper. the black and white was getting a bit dull. Cole on flickr just uploaded a new photo that was the perfect size for a wallpaper, so i'm using that now. all credit goes to him for it.

where's your start menu, etc...? doesn't look like a desktop to me! the picture is an awesome idea for a background though!

I work endlessly pursuing desktop sexyness....
I started this version last night, custom wallpaper, custom icons from packs ones I've designed, custom explorer bar, windows style (hacked) , modified winamp skin, firefox skin (modified), y'z toolbar, etc etc. Fonts are a mixture of segoe ui and arial.
Proof that you don't need Vista or a Mac to have a lovely looking desktop :)

me too. all i will ever have on my desktop is cityscapes. you should see the full version. unfortunately, no one has been kind enough to upload the full one anywhere on the web (maybe one of these days i will), but the place i got it from is here.
seems a bit overkill to get one wallpaper though.
