cool booklets, anyone?
the fold released secrets keep you sick with all the words- lyrics, title, credits, etc, printed in white on white. you have to hold it in the light before you can read it at all.
project 86's album whose name I can't currently recall has a blue case, and in order to read the lyrics, you have to hold them under the blue case.

The Specials on vinyl.. I want that.
You came up with that question because you just bought a bunch of CD's, not because you truly care.. right?
Most recently I bought U2, the Joshua Tree on vinyl, and before that, Bridge Over Troubled Water, also on vinyl, but I'm not sure those count, because this is the I Still Buy CD's group. Have you noticed there's no group for spinners of vinyl? Search for it, and you come up with a bunch of DJ stuff... On CD, I bought the Fold- Secrets Keep You Sick, and.. hm.. Awake Awake's A EP? I forget..

I recently bought the new Velvet Revolver album - Libertad, Incubus - Light Grenades, and Rage Against the Machine - The Battle of Los Angeles. Libertad and Light Grenades were kind of let downs (especially Libertad) but The Battle of Los Angeles is my new favorite RATM album hands down.

Cd's, casettes, vinyl.. downloading is so dull- no album artwork.. and you have to decorate the CD's with Sharpies or your CD case is unbearably sad.

agreed. i love album art that is more interactive. like last year when Beck released The Information with basically a blank case and a bunch of stickers for you to design your own artwork with all these crazy stickers.

I still buy cds. I want to see my favorite band be able to keep on making good music without getting even more burnt out. right now I'm anticipating the new project 86 disc in June. As well, I'm supposed to get the new city and colour live discs today....

I enjoyed what Beck did with The Information last year with all the different stickers where you can pretty much make your own artwork.

The full artwork for these 3 albums is quite amazing. Apparently bands have been doing some crazy artwork to entice more people to buy it instead of downloading.
Anathallo - "Floating World"
Bright Eyes - "Cassadaga"
The Arcade Fire - "Neon Bible (Deluxe Edition)

I loved Kutless's "Hearts Of The Innocent" album cover, then Switchfoots "Oh! Gravity" one (the coloring contest was fun too, so I guess thats why) and Evanescence's "The Open Door" cover was sooo cool. I want the dress Amy Lee was wearing in that pic! lol
