Anyone working out with a rebounder? I used to run but I'm a fair weather runner (pathetic I know) and given it's nearly November in Scotland I am "at home" for the winter. Any tips on using the rebounder to get fit?

My cousin from Eugene, Oregon just visited and was floored by the amount crap us midwesterners consume. I'm glad I've taken on a personal diet crusade to eat healthier, makes you feel better :)

Interesting... Humans built for long-distance running

"While some of our ancestors' meat-eating may have been due to scavenging, Lieberman said the appearance about 2 million years ago of physical adaptations that have no impact on walking but that make humans better endurance runners provide evidence that early scavengers became running hunters."

did you end up getting the exercise ball? i've been toying with the idea of getting one but wanted to make sure it was worth it, mainly because i don't have that much room to store it.

if you haven't gotten one yet, i think they're mainly sized according to your height.

yes. you might want to start with just fruits and veggies and then juices and then the fast wonder mix and then build your way back to solid foods via fruits and veggies..just some common sense, i do believe.

also...go to a sauna, sweat it out. if you can find one..

I hope you didn't fast alone for ten days. And if you did, I hope you made it! Its best to start out slow with fasts. Start with a day then slowly build yourself up for longer fasts.
I guess if you're still consuming something, as in something other than pure water, it might be possible to jump into a longer fast.
Just be aware of how your body feels. Don't push yourself too far. Its best to have someone who has either done it before or knows how to monitor you to be around while you fast, in case anything goes wrong.
I read Fasting for Health (http://www.drfuhrman.com/) but have only gone a day or two at most. I have too many things to get done to be able seclude myself from physical labor for more than a couple days.

i ended up fasting for 4 days. 3 on the cleanse and then a day of juice. i really enjoyed it and plan on incorporating short fasts 1-2 days into my life regularly.

That's really awesome! I bet you had a lot of energy. I hope I can do a fast sometime in the near future.

i try to do at least 3 Sun salutations a day...( yoga) I stick to soy, avoid eating meat completely actually..at least as of late. eating unhappy dead animals makes for unhappy emotional bodies. ( IMO) um, water. cranberry and licorice tea as a cleanser and weight control. stretch all the time. honey, cilantro, and garlic on everything..plain yogurt and honey for breakfast, with spoon of peanut butter ( fatty protein). my main intrest is toning, slimming, and building/maintianing strength. i think i'm going to start swimming laps agian though..i recently am trying to quit smoking and i think trips to the gym, and then hitting the sauna will help with my lung capacity..etc..however, i love..sweets.and my portion control is bad( with random snacks, etc.). as well as my abs..but yeah, crunchs are goods, although pilates based dances exercises make for a leaner frame. I'm trying to shrink my fat cells..ahah. also, seriously, a slow roll down to your toes, starting for your head then rolling through the spine and then hanging out for a while does wonders for your body, take care of your back!! keep it flexible..um. that's all for now from me..
