Hey everyone! I'm working on a website for my college right now. It is for our literary and arts magazine entitled: Cadenza. A few things on the mock-up are missing, because I am not sure how to organize some elements. For the 'artistic works' that gray box will be replaced with a thumbnails image gallery (hopefully) powered by lightbox.

Here is a link to the mock-up, please tell me what you think: http://img388.imageshack.us/img388/6537/cadenzaxs7.jpg

iRyan says:

You're redundant with the literary works and artistic works titles being on there twice. Other than that, look nice. :)

Caped Avenger says:

try to keep the top padding the same as the side padding. ie. the space between the border and the text. note how at the top, where it says "mars hill college" it should be a little lower, so that the padding looks uniform around the entire block.

Right...thanks for the help so far you two. Things are going well on the site. I've ditched the yellow swirly thing because I think it looks too cluttered with it. I've got a good amount of the work done. Here is a test link that I have been using to develop the page on until I finish it:

Caped -- It's called Lightbox, which was developed by a guy named Lokesh Dhakar. Pretty cool stuff huh? Here's a link:

Caped Avenger says:

it's a flash embed, so i doubt you can change the dimensions. with some advanced actionscript you could make it resizable, and colorable, but it seems too basic for that. atleast for now. maybe you should submit a suggestion about that.

in the meantime, you should just host your own mp3 files on a server somewhere and make your own flash player.

my provider won't like the increasing traffic, if i would host files from my server.

and it also could become a legal problem (sharing/copyright) ;)
