What is it with Diablo II and its evil ability to randomly suck me back into the dark world of addiction?
At least I've been playing single player with ATMA since my original selection of B.net characters was wiped, so I don't have to start from stratch again and can at least somewhat twink my characters...

Heh, that is why I have stayed away from D2 for a long time and it definately was not because I can't find my copy. So the search begins...

D2 did that to me too.. until I found Sacred, which was like a beefier updated D2.. Now I have Titan Quest and the expansion which I like to refer to as 'D2 on crack', because they are the shit.

Well, the PC I have is still the one I bought not long after Diablo II came out (not specifically for D2, but I did get the game at the same time), so I can't run the newer games like TQ, or I'd be giving them a try.
I have already realized just how repetitive D2 is... Kill monsters to get better items to allow you to kill monsters faster to get more items... and so on and so on... yet it's just as Pavlovian as ever! And since I haven't really played since the 1.10 patch came out, I'm realizing the characters I had that could do hell aren't very effective there anymore. So I'm starting up a cookie-cutter skelemancer build just so I can get back to hell and get comfortable with all the changes...

Yeah I remember the repetition part of D2 getting to me after a while also. But hey.. its still leaps and fucking bounds better than D1 and there is always the cow level to go to if you get too bored ;)
I think it would be fun to go back to my old pc and play D2 the way I used to just for nostalgias sake.. I lost so many days or weeks of my life to that game.

That's the funniest part... so repetitive, yet that affects me not the slightest. I spent a good chunk of time over the last weekend getting my above-mentioned Necro up above level 50 and making it to Nightmare... still collecting items all along the way!
I guess I'll have to see if Forza 2 and Shadowrun are enough to pull me off D2 or not...

I've been borrowing a Wii for a couple weeks (let's hope I can find my own soon!) and have been rocking the old Super Mario World. It's probably mostly the nostalgia, but that's still got to be my favorite game.

Check out this little minigame, each hand controls a character, its interesting to see if your brain can handle both at once. What level has everyone gotten to? The end of 6 is crazy but I am still going =)

Why is it that all girl gamer groups on websites end up with more guys as members than girls?

And then the girl gamers stop coming and leave the group because the moment they arrive, they face a horde of drooling fanboys that are too busy obsessing over which girl is the hottest.

Jessicass says:
Personally, I don't mind having males join the group. I think people spend too much time complaining about being "drooled over" and "harassed" and should take the compliment, or ignore it. All of the self righteous bitching about getting "fans" and "eww boys suck" just makes for more needless drama.
However, if the topic of the group was forever dominated by men harassing women or making them feel uncomfortble.. sure I could see it becoming a problem within a group intended to showcase female gamers. But the guys who have joined seem pretty tame and non-stalkerish thus far so I will just go with the "no harm, no foul" rule, until forced to think otherwise.
