I'm curious why when I choose the friends link from my homepage, I cannot go to their profiles. when I click on one of their pictures, I get a box allowing me to give them a tag. What I want is to go to the profile page. Am I missing something? It is a nuisance to have to "view my profile" then go to friends to get to them.

When that box pops up you should have a line of text right under their screen name that reads "Go to Profile" (its blue text)
or you could click on the picture inside the pop up box and go to their page.

How about a new tag for Food?....... As that is a semi major thing that has been over looked....... I know you can make a block for it but then it becomes picking a tag for it that fits and well there is not one......

I'm not at all sure what you mean but... you create tags by adding them to your blog posts, photos, profile Personality items, etc. When you search for "food" you would then get hits that contained the items you and others tagged with the word.
Um wait, are you talking about a Personality module for your profile (is that what "block" means?? )? If so, Food would fall under Interests or Activities...

I haven't noticed any problems with images.

Pretty simple, actually! Don't even use the 'br', just skip a line.

Line one

Line break
No problems. Also, comments in groups automatically linebreak. Comments in profiles do not (nor will an html entity for line breaking work.)

Jordan's right, no html will break the line. I just tried on my profile to post a sentence, then an image with a closing paragraph tag after the sentence and a paragraph tag at the start of the img line- it stripped them out.
One fairly lame workaround you might try (depending on how wide their comments section is) is to put characters on either side of your title like this:
************************************* "Gravity's Speech" *************************************
It will force the image to be knocked down to the following line.
Hope this helps.

I believe the coding is allowed in group comments, but not in profile comments

Maybe they're being careful not to let a commenter accidentally break your Profile, whereas in Groups its less of an issue?
Remeber when someone in this group forgot to close their bold tag and it bolded every comment below it? Some folks may see that happen to their profiles and not have any idea how to fix it, or even that it happened in a comment, and not through some mistake of their own.
Eh, maybe I'm totally guessing.

Genevieve: I'm still having a problem with this when I add images in comments on profiles. I write the title of the piece, skip a line and add the image
Genevieve: how were they able to post text here in comments and then post an image underneath?
Hmm, something tells me she might have ignored Jordan's post for some reason...

I do a lot of Virb surfing and I regularly see double (duplicate) entries of bands, authors and interests. Has anyone else noticed this? I was wondering if this is a bug of some sort or an error on the users part in entering the data or is it a browser issue?

I remember that happening to me when i cut and pasted my music list. It duplicated each instance, so i had to go through and delete the artist one at a time. No real big deal, just some glitch

@Teevio - Now that I look for them, I can't find any - it's weird - almost like the issue was fixed!!! If I come across any in my travels I will let you know. I'm pretty sure that it has something to do with cutting and pasting data because it happened to me when I initially did my profile and I did just what dal v3.3.01* did.

How about a "Back to Top" button at the bottom of the page? Next to the "Report a Bug" button, perhaps? But be sure to make it look different so users won't accidentally hit the wrong one.

oh, i just got an idea !
group merging and group "date created"
if 2 groups serve the same purpose "duplicate groups" have the members from the later or smaller group be transfered to the original group.
after doing this to all the groups you should add a better group check so that dupes are not created as often.
you could add a page that matched tags or keywords and post a page saying:
"did you mean one of these groups" and post images for matching group(s).
a good time to implement this is when the legendary new group features are to be added.
yes/no?

=/...... like if one is made and it gets off subject so someone makes a new one and also dif talks on each one....... I see this most in christen groups and I would hate the idea of merging them.......
posted May 28
Birdy says:
@joe- who would do the merging (you mean at the request of the groups and not by Virb staff, right?) ?
would there then be multiple group administrators?
I can see a lot of groups not wanting this because they'd like to keep their group with the only the members they have so far... though they might like to have it as an option- especially if an administrator wanted to transfer their responsibilities off to someone else due to lack of time to spend on the group, etc.

Has anyone else noticed the typo/misspeak on the signin page yet??
"You like stuff. Virb likes stuff. Use it to keep your all stuff in one place and you'll be surprised at how many other people like stuff, too."
I'm pretty sure it should be "all your"...I just noticed it when I logged in today, and no, I am not a grammar nazi, I just thought you might want to switch it. :D

Can we please have a "number of comments" line for Blog posts on the profile page?
I have my full blog posts on my profile page and I'd really like people to be able to see if there's been any commenting activity without having to click "See all".
