Impeach Bush

Whether Democrat or Republican...you've got to agree...it's time for this regime to go!

Defend the Constitution and protect our system of government. Impeach Bush and Cheney.

It is now widely accepted that Bush and Cheney misled us into a war with Iraq. Bush admitted to conducting wiretaps without FISA approval, which the Supreme Court has ruled unconstitutional. Bush and Cheney have clearly championed the use of torture against "enemy combatants". These are all impeachable offenses and the public is demanding impeachment. Sadly Nancy Pelosi and the Democratic party leadership say that impeachment is "off the table". But it is the sworn duty of Congress to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic". While having Bush in the White House will definitely help Democratic campaigns in 2008, it is time for the Democrats to put aside partisan political interests and join Republicans and others who are calling for impeachment.

The President devoted yesterday's radio address to explaining why he vetoed the Intelligence bill Congress sent him. He concluded the address with the following gem:

"We have no higher responsibility than stopping terrorist attacks. And this is no time for Congress to abandon practices that have a proven track record of keeping America safe."

What are these practices that our terrorist-loving Congresscritters so nicely asked the President to abandon? They're nothing special - just you're run-of-the-mill-Spanish-Inquisition-torture-type-stuff.
