My two favorites are Ran and Seven Samurai, but The Bad Sleep Well has, in my opinion, the best screenplay of all of his movies. I still need to see The Red Beard, though.

I'm a sucker for Yojimbo. It was my first exposure to Japanese cinema, and it's been my favorite ever since. I also enjoy Hidden Fortress, and Ran is, of course, an epic.
