ProVIRB: A new Virb community site is launching soon!
Hi all,
Just thought you'd like to know about ProVIRB - a new Virb community site some friends and I are working on.
We're hoping ProVIRB will be the number one place to go for Virb themes, modules and tutes. We've got some great features in the works which we're sure you'll dig.
So if you're interested, jump on the mailing list so we can keep you posted on our launch date (feel free to Digg us while you're there ;) ).
After signing up, head to our Virb profile and add us to your friends list. As the site progresses we'll be keeping our friends up-to-date via our home on Virb. We'll also be launching a private beta, and our first 500 friends will be invited to help us out with it (we're so Web 2.0)!
Cheers!

WP Taggerati 1.3
I never liked Ultimate Tag Warrior because it's just a tad too 'ultimate' to me. I just wanted simple tagging, clouds, related posts and some funky stuff on the page for each individual tag. Therefore I wrote my own plugin called 'Taggerati'.
I finally 'got my shit together' and ironed out some nasty bugs that have been in it for ages. If anyone feels like checking it out, go ahead!

I've posted an 1.4 version featuring a YUI powered real-time tag search box. Very nice on sites with tons of tags!
check it out
my WP site is running it so you can see it in action.

How I TOTALLY STOP SPAM
These 4 plugins have reduced my spam from over 200 a day to ZERO - that's in the 3 months they've been running on my blog.
Math Comment Spam Protection - Asks the visitor making the comment to answer a simple math question. This is intended to prove that the visitor is a human being and not a spam robot.
Simple Trackback Validation - Eliminates spam trackbacks by retrieving the web page located at the URL used in the trackback and checking if the page contains a link to your blog: if not, the trackback needs to be moderated and is not being published.
Email Immunizer - Protect email addresses and mailto links on your blog from email harvesters.

Anyone know how to multipost to here or reference your WP rss feed? I don't want to doubleblog but I don't mind my content popping up on Virb.

In some ways it's the ultimate feature as simply keeping your external Blog going, you can keep your VIRB profile up-to-date and changing all the time without even having to log in. Works sooooo beautifully for me on Facebook!

Glad it's on the roster. It shouldn't be that hard to implement when they focus on it.

I run my blog and portfolio on wordpress, but what I love is how flexible it is for creating small CMS sites like this one. The artist only has to create the square thumbnails and a description, I gave her a desktop uploader and she just logs into WP and writes about her jewelry. The portfolio, related links, recent work, all generated automatically. The beauty of wordpress.
