I consider myself a soda pop aficionado (and call it "soda pop" only to be like Chunk in the Goonies), but most of my all-time favorites were quickly discontinued, including Crystal Pepsi, Royal Crown Draft, and Pepsi Blue. Of my favorites, Dr Pepper alone is in no such danger.

I believe it's owned by Cadbury Schweppes, like 7up. The company will soon be splitting, though (if the Wall Street Journal I found on the subway last week had its facts right). I think it's safe to say that it'll be going the Schweppes route.
Unless you want the AP (Associated Press) on your case, I'd fix that header. According to their stylebook, it is NEVER to be written with a period.
