There's a rib roast in my fridge right now, ready for tomorrows dinner. And there is some eggnog in there I need to break into :-)

Hmm.. My fridge. Well, I basically got a lot of crap. Yogurts, Milk, Diet Coke, lots and lots of frozen waffles, some gross juice.. (Way too sweet for me), some pie. I think. Uhh.. Some uncooked tortillas, those are the best! I totally suggest buying some at your closest CostCo! haha..

My fridge is full of stuff that I daren't even look at ... I suspect there's a lot of things past the sell by dates and today I'm going to make a real effort and clear it out, before starting to fill it again with stuff I'll probably never eat!
It always seems a good idea at the time but I do waste an awful lot so I'm going to be more selective in what I buy from now on.
Uncooked tortillas? I think I've used those to make wraps as sandwiches instead of bread - nice.

I'm trying not to cook so much food at one time. We never finish all the leftovers.

I need to take a page from your book, hesh. I've got a container of wild rice in my fridge that could feed a small country. I guess I'm still cooking enough for 4 even though there are only 3 of us at home now.

Other than a huge variety of yogurts...not much else except water, diet coke, tea and a couple of lonely grilled chicken breasts in my fridge right now.

What's in my fridge?
Way more no-fat or reduced fat items than i ever imagined we would have in our fridge. The wife is on the "Body for Life" program and the first twelve weeks are like a boot camp!

Poor me indeed. I have to sneak in those things she can't have when she is not home or not looking :-p
But I have turned it into a culinary challenge for myself. There is some halibut in the fridge right now that should be thawed by dinner time this evening.
Yogurt is an amazing product. Each week I drain a big container of no-fat yogurt and use it for spreads and sauces. Extremely versatile and hard to believe it is fat-free.

This group is way too quiet! It needs reinstating before I get the reputation for creating groups then neglecting them... what? Do I? Oops - I'll check my fridge and report back...

I need to have a major clearout of my fridge tonight - I had a Lisa moment yesterday when I went to get some milk out and as I poured it, it came out in lumps - the weather must have had something to do with it.
Unlike Lisa though, I just threw it away - straight away!

Lumpy milk is NEVER a good thing! Glad to hear you tossed it. Lisa hasn't mentioned her milk lately...hoping that means she finally took it to the toxic waste site.

here's our fridge -

be thankful it's not zoomed in any closer because it's pretty nasty in there. left-over take-out foods (some months old), lots of condiments, diet coke, empty packages, empty pickle jar, a container with chilli in it (i'm pretty sure that's been in there for close to a year now), a polish sausage, empty grocery bags. ack! i really should clean that thing out. the only edible things in there are the condiments and the container on the top shelf (leftover chicken from lunch today) and the diet cokes. :o)

It looks ok!
Now use this as a self-help group and take the first step to clearing out stuff - start with anything that a) is starting to have a life of its own, and b) anything over 6 months old.
Will check back in a few days and see how you are getting on!
PS recognise the number 9!

I LOVE Cold Diet Coke from a can! Warm w/ice, it loses the carbonation. Kudos for the 12 pack! =)

I took this photo a few days ago, but admittedly, after taking the photo I stopped to eat because I saw the big pot of Spicy Coconut Curry. Later that night, I finished off the container that looks like apple juice, but it's not. Ciroc & Lo Carb Monster. There's a brown bag on the side door w/one of my girl's favorite Chardonnay--waiting for her on the ready. I should really tip that over. Little beef smokies for pigs in a blanket on the top shelf. Turkey Bacon in the crisper w/Coor's light for another friend. A Pinot Grigio for whatever. One percent milk (for fat soluble vitamins). Various veggies, fruit, yogurt, cheese, leftovers & condiments.

I need to seriously clear out - the fridge and the freezer - now there's just me for 95% of the time, anything in there tends to stay there for long after it should - simply because I never get around to eating it! And I have found some horrible stuff recently!
Since I'm alone for the next 2 weeks I think I'll actually have a blitz on those and the cupboards - declutter and see what I really want. Get some beers, wine, nice things and have a great fortnight!
