She has serious problems...

Without a doubt. I was almost embarrassed for her...it was really that atrocious.

I finally saw it. She must've been doped because it was absolutely lackluster. I don't understand why she even has to "comeback". Doesn't she enough money to last her and her kids a lifetime?

She could've spent a little more money on her hair. She could be "it" again, but not like "that'.

I missed it, but I got the scoop from my flaming hairdresser when I got my hair cut the other day.
The moment was perfect, something straight out of a stereotype.

@ hesh - THANK YOU! That clip - they were playing it on the radio yesterday (not stopped talking about the show since it was on) and I've been searching for that clip most of today on and off - was going to post it here if I'd found it!!
Thank you, thank you - I can sleep easy now!
And it's as funny as it sounded when I first heard it (only I only heard about a third of that).

You know what, I actually think she may really have lost her mind. For real, two kids so close together, the pressures of celebrity, etc. and no real support system to deal with it all. It is actually pretty tragic... I think we may hear about her going the way of Marilyn Monroe someday.
posted Sep 13
moo says:
She may have the same fate as Marilyn but I think she'll be yesterday's news this time next year (if not sooner). Can't imagine anyone will be talking about her years after her death they way they do about MM.
Talking of celebs going down that route though - what a shame about Amy Winehouse - now there is someone with real talent who I hope makes it through.

jo says:
What is the press in Britain saying about Amy Winehouse? She has kind of dropped off the radar here. I LOVE her music...and really hope everything turns out ok for her. She was supposed to be touring here with Paolo Nutini (ahhh Paolo!)...but those plans have been revamped for him to tour with Sara Barielles.

* .... paolo ......** ...what?? oh yes, Amy!
Well, she's been getting it from all angles, even her own family but last I heard she's booked herself into rehab ( * sings: no, no, no *) but may have since left there. All I know is she keeps having to cancel appearances and I think there was a drugs overdose.
Here's just one of several online links:

You hit the jackpot with Mamet. I've always thought Brooke Shields is gorgeous and very underrated as a comedic actress.

The closest that I came to a "celebrity" was going to high school with Joey Fatone, one of the NSYNC guys.

That definitely qualifies! I've met quite a few...one of the "perks" of living in Music City, USA...I suppose.
The most memorable ones ~ Johnny Cash (such a commanding presence) and Paolo Nutini (yummy...)

@Rich...funny story about meeting Johnny Cash. I was backstage at a concert, sitting and waiting for the next act to go on...he walks in and proceeds to step on my foot as he's walking by (broke my little toe, btw...he was a big guy) He stopped and apologized and introductions were made...
And "Long Black Veil" is one of my all-time favorite songs as well.

I'm like hesh - never met anyone even slightly famous (though I have spotted a few minor TV people at airports - does that count?)
The nearest I got to anyone hugely famous (and I didn't meet him, just stood next to him) was Sid Caesar at Vancouver Zoo (and I needed my American cousins to tell me who he was - though after that I did find out - I was young at the time and didn't know).
Ooh - just remembered too - again not met but within touching distance - The Queen HRH Queen Elizabeth - I watched when she visited a town near me and did a walkabout, and at a separate location, Prince Phillip (he was taking part in a carriage riding competition).

Those count, for sure! Goodness moo...you should see how people act when HRH or any of the royals come over here...they practically pee on themselves...they get so excited. At least it's not like when Bush visits over there...they want to throw him in the Tower!

Hello, folks . . . new here. Just found this network & this group. I'm an etertainment journalists -- I go for the quirky, not the name-dropping regulars. I've done a lot of interviews w/soap actors, oldies performers -- my favorite, Gary Puckett from the '60s, some TV actors & classic film actors -- the late Robert Stack was a hoot!
This sounds like a fun bunch. Glad I found you!

It's not celebrity gossip as such, but I saw Sharon Stone on TV the other day, and there's not a line on her. She doesn't even look like the Sharon Stone I remembered. She may look 20 years younger or whatever, but I used to like how she looked - now she could be just another clone.
Same with Goldie Hawn - no character now.
They all start to take on that stretched, surprised look and I don't think they look more attractive than before.
Melanie Griffiths!!
Joan Rivers!!!
