WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE BEATLE?
for me its really not that tough. george harrison hands down.
these are some of my favorites:
here comes the sun
while my guitar gently weeps
within you without you
favorite line:
when you've seen beyond yourself
then you may find
peace of mind is waiting there
and the time will come
when you see we're all one
and life flows on within you and without you

John Lennon, no doubt about it. My husband and I are big Beatles and John Lennon fans. We got married on his death date (Decemeber 8) and at the reception and during the ceremony we only played songs from The Beatles.

John. My birthname was Jude, after the song about John's son Julian, Hey Jude.

Paul, not because of his looks (although he was the best looking one by far) but
I think he had the best voice of the lot

Forever George...
Though I will say, the Beatles can only exist with the four of them together, remove any of them, and it's something else completely.
I love George because I feel his songs are the most complex emotionally and I love his post-Beatles work. Stuck Inside a Cloud, anyone?

Paul McCartney... he wrote or at least co-wrote most of my favorite songs... his post-Beatles work is amazing too. His latest album "Chaos and Creation in the Backyard" is brilliant!

Argh, I could never choose. :3 John probably makes me laugh the hardest though, especially in A Hard Day's Night and the end of Yellow Submarine.
"One." "Two." "Three." "FAWRR!!!!!!!!!!!" XD

George for sure. According to my parents, when I was super little, I met him on a plane. I have no recollection of this, but I'm pretty sure its true.

john, hands down. my first boyfriend was obsessed with him and so i associated them together as my one chance in the world to understand true beauty. i'm older now, but the legend status of john never wears thin.

Paul! My sweet Paul. You can see our 2 year old singing Hey Jude at the end of our Beatles video and our daughter's middle name is Mersey.

Favorite Beatles Album
It's super hard to pick, but if I absolutely had to pick an album it would be Abbey Road. Paul's opus on the second half of the record is just incredible!
What's yours?

I can't decide but lately it's been the white album (specifically, 'dear prudence' gives me the chills, and past masters volume two, mostly due to 'rain'. you could lock me in a room with that song on repeat and I'd be perfectly content

I haven't heard Love, I was super skeptical as I always am when there is a new release of "mixed up" Beatles songs. So is it pretty good man?

such a hard choice, but the white album blows me away! seriously, just about everything that's been done in rock music since then, was done on that album. so, with the musical momentousness (yes, it's actually a word!) added in with just plain great tunes, the white album reigns supreme.

White Album... although Abbey Road is a close second as they were in studio recording it the day I was born.

Revolver, because that was when I started to listen to music and understand the lyrics . Abbey Road comes very close.

It really depends on what I'm into in that moment...
For the past few weeks it's been the Anthology series, mainly disc one. I just can't get "Three Cool Cats" and "The Sheik of Araby" out of my head! I know, I know, not originals, just covers, but so much fun.
Before that it was Revolver, then before that Abbey Road, then before that Rubber Soul, then two months of Love.
It's a mood thing.

So, anybody buy "Love"?
I think the cd is a great remastering of original Beatles songs. Harrison's "Something" and "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" are tearjerkers.
I know a lot of fans have been uber-critical of it, but I think it is absolutely wonderful and Giles Martin did a fantastic job.

I bought LOVE for my mother for Christmas, but I'm the one who's wound up listening to it the most. XD
I absolutely adore it - it's such a fantastic way to listen to The Beatles, and there are a few versions that I prefer to the originals: Octopus's Garden and Strawberry Fields Forever, especially. I think everyone in the whole world ought to have a copy of it. :D

I think it's fantastic... sort of a trippy Pepperland dreamscape. The blending of "Within You Without You" with "Tomorrow Never Knows" is my favorite. I hope they're coming out with the whole remastered catalog soon, but I think Giles should do a whole other Beatles "mash-up" project just for the hell of it (without the input of Cirque du Soleil).

Its great. Its finally a new Beatles album, not a bunch of repackaged hits. I really dig the a cappella version of Because, and I Am The Walrus is also fantastic.

I think the album is great as well. I also saw the show back in January when I was in vegas, and the show was simply amazing as well. The work on remixing the stuff for the album is great. I'd love to see them do some more projects like this one
