Gagosian,
That is awesome...
Is beauty internal or external and what are the characteristics of beauty?

Beck says:

it seems to me that it comes down to whether or not a person acknowledges sin.. temptation does not come from God, it's a result of sin, which is a result of free will - and you can't have a genuine relationship with someone without free will. God wanted a real relationship with us, not something forced. this is kind of how i see it: picture someone you love very much - mom, brother, boyfriend, girlfriend, friend, child, etc.. when you love this person, you want to do nice things for them not because you have to, but because you want to.... loving God means that you do things for Him because you love Him and part of that involves living the way He created us to live.. if you believe that he created us, then that means He knows what is best for us too :) otherwise, we can all just do whatever the heck we want!

Hey Beck, I like your comment. However keep in mind that not all that might be in the group would be familiar with the definition of what sin is... So try to use a little more common language
Thanks and Blessing

Leslie says:

thats an easy way to believe,
because if we dont believe he cares if we are gay then we can feel better about being gay..
as long as all we have to do is love him and believe in him we dont have to feel bad about not doing anything else.
why would he want to make us just to watch us?
why wouldnt he want a personal relationship with us?
for him to give us life and everything within it and us just merely acknowledge him doesnt seem fair to me.

I know but it just seems crazy to me that he Hardcore cares what we do, I feel that if our relationships with him our supposed to be so strong, he wouldnt have allowed there to be all of these temptations that steer us away from him. I'm not saying that we are supposed to ackowledge him and move on..Im just saying he gave us lives...and we cant be 100 percent on him all the time in order to have one.

Hey there Leslie & Indy Mae,
I love the conversation something I alway like to think about is that the creator is always greater than the creation... So if we have the ability to love and care for our children no matter how sweetly and gently. Would not our creator that much more.

Also a great question to ask Indy is should our temptations steer us away from God or toward Him... Like an athlete in competition the greater the tension the greater the focus.

Have a great day

Hey Doug. I guess Ive never thought of it like that..Ill be the first to admit that my faith isnt super strong..Being forced to go to church since i was born always kinda made me want to get away, and when i did I found the things "of the world" more appealing than the things of the church. In a way i wish that i had found God by myself because i think it would have been way easier to follow along and stay focused on him..im not sure if this is making sense..I just have a hard time believing alot of the stuff that comes from the bible. I did, however, join this group for a reason and i love hearing all the other opinions/advice.
Thank Doug,Leslie, and Beck. Please keep it coming.

I believe that there is a god that watches us but doesnt care so much what we do.
I believe that this god doesnt care if we're gay or if we listen to marilyn manson even.
As nlong as we love and believe in him, i feel that he will be pleased

Truth and Love.

I have found the most compelling and holistic form of both in Jesus the Christ.

I believe in doing your best, always.
That change is the only constant.
That you must question everything.
That hate and love are forms of caring,
and the worst death is that of the mind and heart.
That's just some of what I believe.

Doug Murphy says:

Kayla thanks for sharing,
Question though... Why do you best is it personal satisfaction or is there a greater good?
Is love just a neurological evolutionary response to cause us to pro-create or is there something more to it...

Have a awesome day, and you seem like a totally cool person

Doug Murphy says:

Webster defines Belief as a state or habit of mind in which trust or confidence is placed in some person or thing.
In what or who does your belief belong?
