I had a dream last night that my mother had a motorcycle, and I was driving it around.
We were at the beach, and I was being very careful because I don't have any sort of motorcycle license. I was riding, and all the sudden, I blew a stop sign. I realized at that moment that I did not know how to drive the motorcycle. I was very thankful that there were no cops around, when suddenly a cop car came up behind me. I tried to stay calm and go back to my family, but all of the sudden I was swerving all over the place, and I rolled the bike in a side patch of grass. The car finally caught up to me, and suddenly I was on a sidewalk in a parking lot. My mom got out of the car and she was the police officer. She was really angry, even though she was the one who allowed me to ride the motorcycle in the first place. She put handcuffs on me, and told me I couldn't get my driver's license.

i'm a lucid dreamer and i adore it.. recently i quit smoking ganja and the side effects are pretty strong on a habitual smoker.. lack of appetite, night sweats and especially, nightmares. lately i haven't been able to control my dreams which is very disappointing, anyone have any suggestions? It's been about 3 weeks, no lucid dreams T.T

yah, it sounds like your body is in a bit of a shock...did you have lucid dreams prior to the ganja? i'm guessing so. they will come back!

yeah i just hope it leaves fast.. i started having lucid dreams about 3 years ago after watching Waking Life, I adore that movie. since then i've been a lucid explorer training my 'powers' every dream I can.. anyone have any specific powers? Besides your regular flying at super speeds and attracting things to my hands, the power i've been working on is controlling peoples actions and thoughts.. It's hard but definitely the most fun!!

whoa, never heard of anyone doing that in their dreams...controlling thoughts and actions of others. how often have you been able to do that?

I can "will" myself to do a few things while lucid dreaming...walking through walls/doors and stopping someone from hurting me are a couple. I can also wake from a dream and make myself go right back into the same dream if I doze back off immediately.

I've only done it twice, it happened one night and then the next. The first time i was trying and i could make people say things or do actions, but very vaguely. The next night I tried again, harder, and i could actually control the whole situation in my dream, like a story, i decided who was in it, what they did and what they said but only for a little while, then it was back to trying and failing. It was the most amazing thing ever.. jo, i looooove going through walls! isn't it amazing? One thing i also noticed in a dream, when you are in a room and you leave the room and close the door, when you open it again, the room is completely different, the stuff, people inside are different, like every time you open and close a door you come into a different story. it's very interesting what your subconscious can create.

Oh no! Something's gone wrong on the Starship Enterprise. We don't know what but it's made all the RC Cola go flat and taste slightly of licorice. And somehow I made Mr. Spock smile; there's definitely something wrong.

So I just realized I had a night terror once whenever I was a child! Apparently you wake up partly can can see/hear things as if in real life but your body is still suspended.....I saw a floor full of snakes! I'll never forget that! Did anyone else have these?

My nephew had these when he was younger. He would be walking and talking as if awake...but in actuality was asleep...lost in a trance-like state. The only thing my brother and his wife could do was just make sure he didn't try to leave the house or do anything that would hurt himself or anyone else. He grew out of them after a year or so.

A couple years ago - during a hard, painful time in my life - I had night terrors almost nightly. What a creepy, suspended feeling.

the best part about dreams is that when you die. . .you're still there. yeah. and it doesn't even hurt either.

My dog does that too. I like to think that she's dreaming about chasing rabbits and birds through wide open spaces.

Last night I dreamed that I was at work...surrounded by snakes. There was a plastic bin in front of me that was full of baby snakes that I kept trying to force the lid down on. I wasn't scared...just grossed out.

Snake
To see a snake or be bitten by one in your dream, signifies hidden fears and worries that are threatening you. Your dream may be alerting you to something in your waking life that you are not aware of or that has not yet surfaced. The snake may also be seen as phallic and thus symbolize dangerous and forbidden sexuality. The snake may also refer to a person around you who is callous, ruthless, and can't be trusted. As a positive symbol, snakes represent transformation, knowledge and wisdom. It is indicative of self-renewal and positive changes. Got someone at work that bothers you? haha.

Ooohhhh yeah...do I ever! I'm doing my best to rise above the madness though. Interesting about the representation of transformation and positive changes. I see my spiritual self going through changes...positive ones...so you pretty much hit the nail on the head.

Dream Theory.......be careful about taking all of the meanings as the gospel"........as Freud said "Sometimes a cigar, is just a cigar"...I do believe in some of the symbology....but then snakes may mean something different to another person.....some of the Primitive Jungian stuff could be debated I think.......does all that make any sense?......should I put my beer down?

okay so i had this really weird dream, i was harry potter's girlfriend, and we were really tight, and ginny got really jealous, so i was walking around, and she said. Harry is mine. and i said, um i think not, he's my boyfriend, then there was the exchange of some dirty looks and we both walked away and later i was walking down a hall and i heard this noise, and i turned around and looked at the ground and a bunch of spiders were running away and then there was a huge black thing, and it turns out that ginny had tried to get back at harry by going out with voldemort, and they set the basilisk on me. and i started to run away but then i rememberd that fawkes would come and bring me magicness, and so i turned around and whiped out some snazzy karate moves and ripped out the basilisk's teeth but then i droped them on accident, and i was like okay fawkes come now....and he didnt, so i was like !!!! and yeah. then i ran, and the basilisk followed me, and i tripped on one of its fangs and jumped on its head and stabbed it. and i must have got it right in the brain or something, because it died. and i woke up.
