A tablet is very easy to use. The first few minutes you'll get confused by the absolute positioning of the pen and the pressure sensitivity but after that you'll adapt and never ever want to go bag doing art with anything else. I tried to do something with a mouse in Illustrator last summer, it worked but at the same time I was going insane by the inflexibility and how much time it consumed. So I definitively thing you should get one, even if it's an ancient piece of machinery like my wacom UD with serial connection.

Yeah, those vector lines. Can give both headaches and nightmares. I love how they work, but at times they just gets too crisp and clean. Art tablets and calligraphic brushes though, they work wonders.

Thanks for the comment. Mentioning Egon Schiele and my drawings in the same sentence is rremarkably high praise. I'll take it, but I don't deserve it. Keep creating.

A comment to get you worried eh? Well, luckily my daughter's birth was perfectly normal, but Noelle DID pee on my wife's chest as she was holding her in her first moments of life. So if you're turned off by uring you might be in trouble. Also, when you hold your child above your head and make them laugh, be aware that they might also vomit into your mouth. I love my daughter to death, but that wasn't so fun.
