CD's Released! "Fighting For The Losing Side":

Our CD order arrived today! Meaning CD's are in stock! Message us if you're interested, we'll be setting up Paypal and accepting money mail orders once we're all organized and stuff, so shoot us a message if your interested, also, if you live out of Soda Springs, Idaho and you order a cd, we encourage you burn the cd for as many friends as possible and make sure to give them our myspace... but if you live in/near Soda Springs, tell your friends to buy it :)...

About us:
From a Whim started out as an individual project which contained only Lamoni Finlayson. He had recorded and released six songs but was only happy with about two of them. One day Fletcher Sherwood got ahold of him and had asked him if he wanted to jam out that day. Being bored of the sound of his own voice and one acoustic guitar, he was more than happy to do it. Jammin' in Lamoni's room and after doing a "mess around" cover of "I'm Gonna Be (500 miles)", they decided that this little get together could go farther than they had expected. The sound of them together sounded a LOT better than just one person jamming on a guitar and singing, so Fletcher decided to join From a Whim. And now it's just us two :), and we like it like that. Our styles match pretty closely so we can compliment each other on the guitar. Stay tuned for more songs from us :).

More Personal
Lamoni's been playing for just over a year now, and Fletcher's been playing for almost 6 years now. All songs written by us have taken under about 2 hours or so to write, haha :), we're quick.

About the name:
The name "From a Whim" comes from an expression that means "to come out of nowhere." I decided on this name because I was trying to think of something that kind of described how I started playing guitar. I just picked up the guitar christmas eve and started jamming away :), and I've loved it ever since. The name "From a Whim" means a lot to me because it also describes some other personal stuff (Lamoni). I was thinking Fletcher would want to change the name but he ended up liking it, so we kept it :).
