On November 23, 2006, U.S. citizen Eric Volz was arrested for the murder of a local girl in Nicaragua despite a lack of any evidence. 100+ days in jail later, he has been convicted to 30 years in jail despite 10 witnesses with sworn statements that he was over 2 hours away at the time of the murder.
