Dymond

Drum n' Bass

London, United Kingdom

Billboard

Born and Bred on the diverse streets of London, Dymond's Drum & Bass vision brings together the contrasting sights & sounds of everyday life in Drum & Bass' spiritual home.

After sneaking into his 1st rave at the age of 15 & sampling the sights & sounds of early Dance music culture, Dymond believed he had found his calling...Fast forward more than 12 years later & his hard hitting Beats & Selections are an admirable reflection of his culture & today's youth.

Drawing influences from all musical genres & a variety of sources, Dymond manages to exceed the rest by fusing together the many styles of this exciting genre & throwing down Drum & Bass Without discrimination...

Combining absolute professionalism with artistry, Dymond conveys his creativity through his versatile mixing style and his own compositions, which are heard regularly at several well known venues inc.The Ministry Of Sound, Herbal, Rhythm Factory, Bar Rumba, The Notting Hill Carnival & many more across the world.

He is also rapidly gaining notoriety over the airwaves having recently hosted a 4 hour D&B mix show on BBC 1Xtra.

Dymond has regularly appeared on James Hyman's 'The Rinse' Show (XFM) & has hosted radio shows on such underground d&b stations as Rude 88.2FM & Origin 95.2FM. The popularity of the Internet has seen Dymond appear on stations Nuskoolbreaks.co.uk, Kunninmindz.com, World Dance Radio, Futuredrumz.com & drumnbassworldwide.com & as a regular (For more than 4 years!) on the highly acclaimed London pirate station Y2K 90.6FM.

Production wise, Dymond has teamed up with T Sound (Blu Mar Ten). They currently have 4 releases forthcoming. 'Terminate' & 'Dont You Want Me' have been signed to Subject 13's Vibez Recordings & 'All The Things' and 'On & On' have been signed to Total Science's Advanced Recordings.

Widely regarded as one of the hardest working d&b heads in the business, Dymond currently works closely with BBC 1XTRA, Dogs On Acid, ATM Magazine, SOS , One Week To Live Magazine & Know How Records.

Having worked for pioneering Jungle/Drum & Bass label & shop Ibiza Records from 95-96, he was also previously the D&B vinyl buyer at the flagship HMV store in Oxford Circus for many years. Dymond is now presently the Drum & Bass Vinyl buyer at highly respected independent record store 'Know How Records' in Camden.

Dymond is freelance Drum & Bass journalist for the biggest Drum & Bass publication in the world 'ATM Magazine', the popular weekly Dance music & club magazine 'One Week To Live' and in early 2005 was appointed Drum & Bass editor to the popular underground magazine S.O.S. (Sounds Of the Streets). Interviewing the top artists, providing charts, record reviews & news from the world of d&b. These appointments signify the culmination of his hard work, persistence & determination to succeed in the scene.
