After struggling with trying to make minimal techno for years under this name, strictly for my own consumption until recently, I have realized that I am not a minimalist. If anything, I have found I am more happy with minimalist means to accomplish a maximimalist end; filling the frequency spectrum from piercing highs to subsonic lows. In my latest recordings I am embracing this methodology.

Under this name, I am exploring longer form drones. Experimenting with very few elements to create stasis and lull crossed with subtle motion and surprise. A principle concept I have been exploring is what I term audio mirage: essentially a piece of sound that is so subtly shifting with its elements so delicately balanced that the listener cannot tell if it is the piece of music that has changed or simply their focus on the sound.

A forum for me to explore a form of electronically manipulated instrumental improvisation. The means and methods of this infrequent project change, but often inform the my other work more than anything else.
