The skinny

I'm Bekah's man, Ben and Isa's dad, and a Jesus lovin' Mennonite currently residing in Ohio, where I pastor a church. I read, I write, and I blog. I love a good cup of coffee, or a good pint of beer. I'm always open to a conversation over either brew, so long as it involves a sufficient amount of scheming.

Some random facts about me:
-I own a purple pair of sweatpants. They are comfy.
-I was once a pretty good baseball player. Now I'm all washed up.
-In my former life, I was a barista at my lil' ol' Christian college. I've served lattes to Bill Malonee, Bebo Norman, Ray Boltz, Shane Barnard, Erwin McManus, and a bunch of other people you may recognize. I like to think that I caffeinated their performance.
-I don't like eating mushrooms, and I don't like wearing ties.
-I have a set of webbed toes on each foot. And yes, you may look and touch.
-I like Macs. Macs from Apple Inc., not McDonalds.
-My son Ben is a spitting image of my wife, and my daughter Isa is Guatemalan. Thus, I have two children that look nothing like me. Baby #3 is on the way, though (fingers crossed).
-I once caused the Israeli Defense Force to create and impromptu roadblock on a major Israeli highway (it's a long story).
-I like school. No really I do. If I could get paid to be in school the rest of my life, I'd be the luckiest man on earth.
-I think Virb is sweet...much better than MySpace.
