dep has been producing music since 1994. he started out writing scores for video games and videos before wafting in to a more singer/songwriter stint which lasted for about 4 years. Throughout his genre shifts, dep has always maintained a keen interest in electronic and ambient music and has recently shifted his efforts to focus on these genres.
"I'm completely taken with electronic music. There's so much room for depth and experimentation. You can find lushness of sound in the most minimalistic of electronic beats, and you have license and obligation to try and compel your listener. Each individual layer -- every tiny sample and every single track tells its own story. There's nothing more fun than this." -dep

so how are the net label release tracks progressing ? will they be a dep-arture from the dep sound ? will they be as dep-endable sonically ? or are you now an axe wielding guitar god ? ah, thanks for the response - great to hear that things are progressing well. I am still trying to learn more about vocal processing for a track with another virb artist - apodiform - I never realised there was such a huge part of effect processing I had never investigated - and I am finding it really difficult/challenging. ...and in the space between Daft is writing minimal techno/house for fun. Looking forward to the bulletin when your tracks are released

Spaztic- a sequel reminds Daft of Iggy and the Stooges 'No Fun' - I didn't see that coming !

Thanks again for Spooky Dollhouse (drum machine unplugged mix), it's made Daft dump Ableton and write something in his beloved Reason again. CX B5 AMB VERSION

Mixtures is a very complex arrangement, Daft does not know how you managed to keep it so tight as it changes throughout the track......and now a strange request.. Spooky Dollhouse is ... looks for a word .. beautiful ... would/could you do a version for Daft without percussion ? Daft would like that very much (the cheque is in the post).

hi dep, hope you're well. your sound seems to have progressed. I've been in a 'creepy' phase myself. Speaking of which, nice job with spooky dollhouse! Is the music box synthesized? The counterpoint is delightful. I'm not sure if you've visited my page recently, but I've added some new music as well as a new featured video by a group I like. All the best, t.g.n.w.b.
