Art Limited Community
I spend a lot of time of developping my own Art Community www.artlimited.net.
I was born during walking on the moon and flower-power period, so maybe touched by the technical and sharing approach of the life. Later, I have created in design, computer graphic, coding and photography. I plan to apply my vision of sharing Arts to others and use my knowledge to build it. Currently I'm the naughty boss, the only developer and art director, spending nights and free time to make the site always better.

My first encounter with photography took place when my father performed some strange static dances with an object in front of his face. Later he would close himself up in a special room under the house for long periods of time, and no one was allowed in. My mother diligently made sure that he was left to his own devices whilst inside. One day I was authorized to enter the room and allowed to stay, but on the condition that I didn't move or went out. There was unique chemical perfume, and a red light.
I was bewildered: my father appeared flashing a white light on a piece of paper using a stange apparatus. Then he dipped it into a clear liquid and Behold! I couldn't believe it, A miracle! My father was a wizard who created pictures.

In the following years I didn't really follow his experiments, I was was too young to manipulate cameras and I prefered to draw. Photography, Architecture and Art was always present around us and I still remember black and white exhibitions that we visited.

When I was a teenager, I continued to draw, and I started painting a little. I even took part in some local exhibitions. At the age of 17 I began to take photographs sometimes , I was especially fascinated by mineralogical micromounts. I started studying biochemistry, but after 3 years I changed to Poitiers school of fine-arts, and took an interest in computer graphics and generated imagery.

Whilst I was there I meet Alain Fleig who introduced me to art photography. I also felt a need to practise photography, and with a friend we spent a lot of time learning how to develop films and photographies. We did sessions with models, scenery, and discovered France.

The second year I had my first personal exhibition in a gallery, which was a great experience, then a training placement with Philippe Salaün, who was at this time Robert Doisneau's developper. Following this I did some jobs for organizations, shows or specific orders. Then I started in december 1995 working with computer graphics and made use of the Internet .

I worked in artistic direction for several years, then digital cameras came and I found in them the way to process quickly and experiment without burning to many strips.

Now I meet and exchange with lot of photographers, while Digital SLR bodies were produced and allowed me to have exactly what I wanted with different lens and power features. I continue to produce some material and I'm engaged and maintain collaborative projects such as Art Limited, Preface or M42.

JADORE YOUR WORK....would have been interesting to see how you would have captured the fires here in Southern California last few weeks.....it changed the sunsets, the nightsky, the landscape...growing up here, I have experienced this many times, but this time, the photographs created fantasitic visual art from tragic circumstances.....cheers!.....Smasher
