Defusion was created about three years ago by three Danish guys. This was however not the first time they worked together, as they were all three brought together several years earlier because of their common interest in electronic music and music creation. The earlier projects were mainly trance and were mostly influenced by other trance projects, such as Flutlicht, Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren and Above & Beyond.
Then in spring 2003 Defusion was created as an alternative project for the track "Falling in Between". Still at this point the trance inspiration in the music was easy to find, but the hip-hop influenced beat and the housy feel pointed out that the guys were starting to develop an interest in different sorts of music. For instance they started listening to bands like The Prodigy and The Crystal Method. The guys' interest in Defusion did however die out again, and the only other track that got finished was "Lucy" and "Accelerate" sometime in 2004. 2004 were also the year were their trance productions became more and more professional, but trance music in general was starting to bore them.
So in 2005 the Defusion guys developed an interest in rock music. Especially bands like Placebo, Muse, Radiohead and Gorillaz fell in their interest. At the same time other electronic projects like Depeche Mode, Funkstörung, Röyksopp, Colder and Massive Attack found a place among their favourite bands. Defusion was finally resurrected in 2005 when the thought of creating electronic music, with rock influences for example, occurred to them.
The sound of Defusion is quite unique, not in the way that it has never been heard before, but more in the way that it's a collaboration between many musical styles and ideas, giving the tracks a very personal and experimental sound.

"We all admire the spangled acrobat with classical grace meticulously walking his tight rope in the talcum light; but how much rarer art there is in the sagging rope expert wearing scarecrow clothes and impersonating a grotesque drunk! I should know." Thank you for your friendship! Musical greetings from Munich/Germany!
