This Girl
artist turned graphic designer. currently still a student, but will be graduating soon. i plan on getting my masters in fine arts afterwards. i have a horrible love of japanese stationary (sanrio and the like). i'm a terrible vegetarian, but that doesn't mean i eat cows, though. in the future, i plan on making some children's books (writing, illustrating, designing), but we'll see. i met one of my favorite illustrators (Gris Grimly) some time ago and fangirl-ed out on him. not cool.
i dig painting, drawing, collaging, sketching, sewing, crafting, and anything else creative. graphic design is fun except for the part where i have to sit in front of a computer all day.

i played bass for like 3 years but i gave it up after high school. i pretty much sucked and it was embarassing. i'm no rockstar. my boyfriend, kellan was a guitarist in a band before we came up to ai and he's convinced that when we get back to portland we're going to start a band. but we all know there's just no way that's happening with my horrible bass skills. hahaha... anyways, branding yourself sounds tough. i went and bought a bunch of web portfolio books & magazines for inspiration. i'm supposed to be working on our portfolio site on this break but i haven't even started. hawaii makes me lazy and braindead. oh well... i hope your classes are looking good!

i was just reading your "about" section and i swear, we're cut from the same mold. i LOVEEEEEEEE sanrio!!! chococat's my fav! it's horrible. i don't think i've ever grown out of the little girl stage of loving little trinkets like that. i'm also i horrible vegetarian. i'm half... i don't believe that you can be japanese and from hawaii without eating seafood. but i do refuse to eat animals that walk on land. and we both play bass... i think we're long lost twins. how's your classes going? aren't you graduating soon?

Heyyyy. super cute illustration. i wish i had confused robots in my thought bubbles. home's good but extremely slow... it's basicaly all because everyone's stuck on this tiny island surrounded by thousands of miles of ocean. i think it drives people a bit insane. i actually can't wait to get back to portland with its wonderfuly unhumid sunny days. well i hope you're enjoying the rest of your break!
