Bio

DJ DASH aka Marcus Goodsell has music in his blood. He inadvertently found out his father was a DJ after buying his first set of turntables. His love for blending and manipulation is expressed primarily through jungle deebee, but he's been known to play house, breaks/2-step, dubstep and hip-hop.

A native New Yorker, Dash now resides in Seattle as an active member in the Pacific Northwest Electronic Music Community, where he holds residencies at Konkrete Jungle and Bodyrock Seattle. He's played at the notorious D&B Tuesdays, the longest running D&B party on the West Coast. He's also played at every other D&B party he can step foot in including Onset, The Spot, Last Supper Club, and the world famous Konkrete Jungle NYC.

Dash is no stranger to the radiowaves as you'll find him throwing down on local and international radio shows such as DNBTV.com, and the Vortex 89.5. While studying Fine Arts @ Alfred University in Upstate NY, he hosted a radio show, 'Beats Dimes & Life'(BDL) on WALF 89.7 FM (walfradio.org). The show consisted of mash-up followed by a live drum & bass set. On 'B.D.L.', he was the first DJ on the station to mix live on air. In Alfred, NY he also began 'Kum Curek Krew' and hosted at least one weekly party where his main goal was to expose western NY to the underground jungle deebee sound. KCNY's Resident DJ's included Dash and Cast The Sky.

Dash has shared the stage with acts such as Demo, Christian Bruna, DJ Dara, ODI, TZ Izlam, Reid Speed, Breakage, Quadrant, I-CUE, Infiltrata among other respected national performers. His style is eclectic and at times unpredictable, so rest assure he will always set the proper mood while always including drumfunk, liquid, techstep/nuero and jump-up in his sets.

When Dash is not behind the decks you can find him teaching youths Art/Media Arts w/ various local/national Enrichment programs. As of late he has gotten back into production with a forthcoming tune on a new Northwest Dubstep Label, Insectmind.
