About
My name is Chris Dent, i am a 22 year old Illustrator/ Artist.
I studied at Central St Martins College of Art and graduated last year from Camberwell College of Arts London with a first class honours degree in Illustration.
I have a fascination and an intrigue with all forms of buildings, cities and street culture.My obsessive hand drawings are created by working straight onto paper in pen, without the use of pencil. I explore the visual beauty of each individual city, balancing negative space and energetic areas within my work.Creating a sense of freshness and intrigue for which each city is known.
In the last 10 months i have been busy working on commissions for Jones Lang LaSalle,Capital Records, Pernod, Zoo York, Don't Panic, The Great Eastern Hotel, Oki-ni, Swindle Mag, Kingpin, Lodown, Noise, Purpose, Stranger, Point, Illustrated Ape, Belio, also appearing in Dazed and Confused and Computer Arts.
My latest works have been for Global Real Estate's Jones Lang LaSalle.
Next spring will see the launch of a range of clothing for Zoo York, i am also working on a range of skateboards to coincide with this launch.
Other recent exhibitions include Stanford's City Moleskin show, Magma Gallery, Subway Gallery, The Notting Hill Arts club and La Viande Gallery.
My current exhibition on board HMS President at Victoria Emankment will run from the 30th May untill 27th June.
